Ph.D. Program

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme in Optoelectronics shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned Eligibility:- U.G.C-C.S.I.R - JRF/NET/ GATE OR Entrance test conducted by the Dept. of Optoelectronics, University of Kerala OR Entrance test conducted by the Dept. of Physics/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/Computer Science, University of Kerala OR Entrance test conducted by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in Electronics with a post-graduation in any of the following subjects- (i) M.Sc.: Photonics, Optoelectronics, Biophotonics, Nanophotonics, Electronics, Physics, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, (ii) M.Tech: Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Communication (Optoelectronics and Optical communication), Optoelectronics and Optical communication, Photonics, Optoelectronics, Electronics (All branches like- Signal Processing, Communication, Instrumentation, Robotics, Microelectronics, MEMS), Electrical and Electronics, Physics, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Computer Science (Signal Processing, Image processing, Machine learning), Biomedical Engineering, Laser Technology, Applied Optics, Solid State Technology, Material Engineering (iii) M.
